Real estate runs in the family. Janice Ashley’s father was a realtor, and, after a successful 20-year career as a high school English teacher, Janice decided to follow in her father’s footsteps. And she loves it!
“I meet interesting people and love helping them find the home of their dreams,” Janice says.
As a retired teacher, Janice understands the importance of education. She is a licensed South Carolina broker, an accredited buyer representative, a certified residential specialst, a certified buyer representative and has earned her Graduate Realtor Institute designation.
A life member of the Million Dollar Club, a member of Realtors of Distinction, formerly known as The Realtor Roundtable, and an active member of the East Cooper Top Producers Club, Janice is also involved with the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, currently serving on the Orientation Committee and Awards Committee.
Janice believes in giving back to her community. She is past president of the Isle of Palms Commerce Association, past president of the Sullivan’s Island Garden Club, and Ways and Means chairman for the Isle of Palms Garden Club. Janice also is a member of the Humane Society of America, as well as a member of the American Association of University Women.
Specializing in residential, investment and resort properties, Janice believes the Lowcountry will experience continuing growth due to location, climate and quality of life. From Charleston’s beautiful beaches to educational historic sites to gourmet restaurants and yearly events such as Spoleto and the Southeastern Wildlife Expo, Charleston will continue to draw families, retirees and young adults relocating to the South.
When taking a much needed break from real estate, Janice spends her time gardening, knitting and whipping up gourmet meals for her two children and their families.
